Advertiser Indemnification
Advertisers shall indemnify and hold harmless Storyfor, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to the content of their advertisements, including but not limited to intellectual property infringement, false advertising claims, consumer protection violations, and any breach of applicable laws or regulations.
Creative License Grant
By submitting ad creatives, the Advertiser grants the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce such creatives solely for the purpose of fulfilling the advertising campaign. This license terminates upon the conclusion or cancellation of the campaign, except that the Platform may retain copies for record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes.
No Performance Guarantee
The Platform does not guarantee any specific impressions, clicks, conversions, or other results from advertising campaigns. Advertising metrics are provided on an 'as-available' basis and may be subject to adjustment for invalid traffic. Campaign performance depends on numerous factors beyond the Platform's control, including ad quality, targeting parameters, and market conditions.
5. User Self-Service Advertising
Promote Your Content
Creators and users can promote their works, services, or products through our self-service advertising platform. This is an effective way to reach our engaged reader community.
Eligibility Requirements
- Active account in good standing
- No history of policy violations
- Valid payment method on file
- Content being promoted must comply with platform guidelines
Self-Service Ad Types
Boost visibility of your stories and books to reach more readers
Increase followers and engagement on your creator profile
Promote external products, services, or websites (subject to review)
Budget and Bidding
Set your own daily or campaign budget. Our system uses an auction model where you bid for ad placements. You only pay when users interact with your ad (CPC) or view it (CPM), depending on the campaign type.
Ad Review Process
All self-service ads are reviewed before going live. Review typically takes 24-48 hours. Ads that violate our policies will be rejected with an explanation.
User Advertiser Indemnification

6. Advertising Disclosure
Clear Identification
All advertisements on StoryForMoney are clearly labeled as 'Ad', 'Sponsored', or 'Promoted' to distinguish them from organic content. We believe in transparency and never disguise ads as editorial content.
Sponsored Content
When content is created in partnership with advertisers, it will be clearly marked as 'Sponsored Content' or 'Paid Partnership'. Creators must disclose any material relationships with brands.
Affiliate Links
Some links on the platform may be affiliate links. These are disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines and local regulations.
7. Ad Targeting and Privacy

Privacy Protection

The legal basis for processing personal data for advertising purposes is legitimate interest for contextual and interest-based advertising. For behavioral targeting involving tracking across third-party sites, we rely on user consent.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), personalized advertising requires explicit opt-in consent. Non-personalized, contextual ads may be shown without consent. Users may exercise their data rights (access, deletion, portability, restriction) as described in Section 8 (Your Rights) of our Privacy Policy.

We Do Not

- Allow targeting based on sensitive personal information
- Target ads based on health conditions or religious beliefs
- Allow advertisers to upload user contact lists for targeting
8. Creator Ad Revenue
Ad Revenue Sharing
Eligible creators can earn a share of advertising revenue generated from ads displayed on their content. This provides an additional income stream beyond direct reader support.

Ad Revenue for Derivative Works
When ads are displayed on derivative works, the original creator automatically receives a portion of the ad revenue (20% of total). This is processed automatically by the platform and requires no action from either creator.
Revenue Share Eligibility
- Account in good standing with no policy violations
- Completed KYC verification
- Minimum follower or view thresholds (as specified in Creator Agreement)
- Content that meets our monetization guidelines
Revenue Payouts
Ad revenue is calculated monthly and paid out according to our standard payment schedule. Detailed earnings reports are available in your creator dashboard.
9. Policy Enforcement
Ad Review
All ads are subject to review before and during their run. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any ad that violates our policies.
Consequences of Violations
Minor Violations (formatting errors, missing disclaimers, incorrect labeling)
- First occurrence: Notification and 48-hour window to correct the issue
- Second occurrence: Ad removal and formal warning
- Third occurrence: Campaign suspension and mandatory review before future ads
Major Violations (fraudulent content, illegal products, IP infringement, deceptive advertising)
- First occurrence: Immediate ad removal, formal warning, and account review
- Second occurrence: Advertising privileges suspended and all active campaigns paused
- Third occurrence: Permanent revocation of advertising privileges
Severe violations (such as promoting illegal activities, distributing malware, or deliberately targeting minors) may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement, regardless of prior violation history.
Invalid Traffic and Click Fraud
The Platform reserves the right to filter, exclude, and not charge for traffic it determines to be invalid, including but not limited to bot traffic, automated clicks, click farms, and other fraudulent activity. Metrics may be adjusted retroactively to exclude invalid traffic.
Advertisers and users are strictly prohibited from artificially inflating impressions, clicks, or other engagement metrics through any means, including but not limited to automated tools, click farms, incentivized clicking, or coordinated manipulation. Violation of this prohibition constitutes a major violation subject to immediate account termination and forfeiture of all remaining ad budget.
Appeals
Advertisers may appeal ad rejections or policy decisions within 14 days. Appeals should include specific reasoning and any supporting documentation.
Refund Policy
For ads removed due to policy violations, any budget already spent (impressions delivered or clicks recorded) is non-refundable. Remaining unused budget may be refunded or credited at the Platform's sole discretion. Ads removed due to platform error are eligible for a full credit or refund of all affected spending. The Platform shall process eligible refunds or credits within 30 business days of the removal date.
10. Limitation of Liability
Liability Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE PLATFORM'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO ANY ADVERTISER FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ADVERTISING SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ADVERTISING FEES ACTUALLY PAID BY SUCH ADVERTISER TO THE PLATFORM DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Exclusion of Damages
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PLATFORM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, OR COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ADVERTISING SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF THE PLATFORM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
11. Dispute Resolution
Amicable Negotiation
Any dispute arising out of or relating to advertising services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of thirty (30) days from written notice of the dispute.
Binding Arbitration
If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in accordance with its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Wilmington, Delaware. For disputes involving amounts less than $25,000, arbitration shall be conducted online or by telephone. Each party shall bear its own costs, with arbitration fees shared equally.
Alternative for Mainland China Users
Notwithstanding the above, advertisers located in the People's Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) may elect to submit disputes to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in Beijing, conducted in Chinese, under CIETAC's arbitration rules then in effect.
Governing Law
This Policy and any advertising agreements shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users subject to mandatory consumer protection laws of their jurisdiction, this choice of law shall not deprive them of protections afforded by such mandatory provisions.
12. Campaign Termination and Cancellation
Advertiser Cancellation
Direct advertisers may cancel a campaign by providing at least seven (7) days' written notice prior to the scheduled start date. For campaigns already in progress, the advertiser may request early termination with at least seven (7) days' notice.
Cancellation Refund
For campaigns cancelled before launch, a full refund will be issued minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred (such as custom creative production). For early termination of in-progress campaigns, amounts attributable to impressions and clicks already delivered are non-refundable; unused budget shall be refunded within 30 business days.
Platform's Right to Terminate
The Platform reserves the right to terminate any advertising campaign or relationship at any time, with or without cause, upon reasonable notice. If terminated without cause by the Platform, the advertiser shall receive a pro-rata refund of unused advertising budget.
Self-Service Campaign Cancellation
Self-service advertisers may pause or cancel their campaigns at any time through the advertising dashboard. Unused budget remaining after cancellation will be credited to the advertiser's account and may be applied to future campaigns or refunded upon request.
13. Legal Compliance

Advertiser Responsibility
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring their ads comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including truth-in-advertising requirements, intellectual property rights, and industry-specific regulations.
14. Advertising Data
Data Ownership
All raw advertising data, including impression logs, click data, and user interaction data, is owned by the Platform. Advertisers are granted access to aggregated statistical data relating to their own campaigns through the advertising dashboard or reports.
Data Usage
The Platform may use anonymized and aggregated advertising data for improving advertising services, generating industry reports, and optimizing platform performance. No personally identifiable information will be shared with advertisers or third parties for purposes beyond the scope of the advertising campaign.
15. Policy Updates
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Advertising Policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated to active advertisers and affected creators at least 14 days before taking effect.
